Toronto Raptors game 2

Toronto Raptors Starting lineup
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan

Cleveland Cavaliers
F - Moon F - Hickson C - Hollins SG - Parker PG - Sessions

First Quarter

The Toronto Raptors started the game 1 for 6 and then finished the quarter

8 for 12 and had the lead going into the second quarter with a 24-20 lead

eventhough they had 8 turnovers.

Second Quarter

The Raptors started the quarter 6 for 6 and took a bigger lead with a 11 -

point lead earily in the quarter and Bargnani has 12 points at half and

Evans has 8 rebounds in limited time because of foul trouble. The scary

part of the first half is that their hosting up too many 3-balls and are

getting beat in the paint 24-12 but they still have a 8-point lead 46-38

over the Cavaliers who are shooting 36.6% in the first half. Also with

more rebounds (21) than Cleveland (19) and more assists (12) than

Cleveland (5).

Third Quarter

Linas Kleiza had 13 points in the quarter to help build a 20-point lead

going into the fourth quarter and over 60% shooting in the quarter did not

hurt and Reggie Evans got 6 rebounds too. Demar came alive in the quarter

with 8 points and Bargnani was justing helping out with his 4 points in

the quarter after 12 in the first half.

Fourth Quarter

Raptors played straight up in the quarter eventhough they got it up to 23

and 25 lead in the quarter but in the end they won by 20 (101-81).

My final thought

I feel that they moved the ball very well but I think they are still

shooting too many 3-balls and it will hurt at some point but not tonight.

They had an all around game where everybody chipped in (almost 40 points

off the bench) and the Cavaliers shot under 30% after the first quarter.

Evans with his 14 rebounds, Bargnani with 20 points, and Kleiza had 19

points while leading in fast break points 26-16 and the raptors are now 1-

1 going onto a 4-game westcoast trip.

Toronto Raptors game 1 is finished

Toronto Raptors starting lineup

PG - Jarrett Jack, SG - DeMar DeRozan, C - Andrea Bargnani,
F - Reggie Evans, Linas Kleiza

New York Knicks Starting lineup

F - Danilo Gallinari, F - Amar'e Stoudemire, C - Timofey Mozgov,
SG - Landry Fields, PG - Raymond Filton

First Quarter

Bargnani was very hot in this first quarter with most of the raptors

points and got some rebounds too but the down fall in this quarter was the

raptors turnovers that gave the knicks 9 points. Knicks leading by 7 with

score being 29 -22.

Second Quarter

Coming out of the first quarter break the Raptors were asleep as the

Knicks score the first 9 points of the quarter to take a 16-point lead but

after a Raptors timeout they went on a 19-4 run to cut it to 1 point and

the Knicks lead at half by 4 with the score 51-47. Bargnani had a great

first half with 18 points and 4 rebounds but Reggie Evans had a even

better first half with 10 rebounds.

Third Quarter

This quarter was very even eventhough the Raptors cut the lead in half

from 4 points to 2 points at the end of the third quarter with no points

from Bargnani in the quarter and Evan got 3 rebounds. It looks like if the

raptors could shut down the Knicks bench in the final quarter they have a

good chance to win the game but at least the raptors have brought tough

defence tonight.

Fourth Quarter

In this quarter Amar'e came to life and earned his money with 7 of his 19

points late in the quarter and Tyson Chandler had a great game off the

bench including this quarter as he had 22 points in the game. Evans

continued being a monster on the boards tonite and Barbosa had all his 13

points off the bench in the second half and Bargnani had 5 points in this

quarter. 98-93 Knicks win

My final thought are that Bargnani was great in the first half and he was

forgotten in the second half because he did not work hard enough at times

and was not found when he was open other times. If the raptors play hard

like they did especially the last 30 minutes of this game on defence their

going to find ways to win more than they lose.

Raptor's starting tommorrow

The Toronto Raptors are starting their regular season Vs. New York Knicks

tommorrow and it will be beginning the life after Chris Bosh for the

raptors. Jose Calderon probably will start at Point Guard, Leandro Barbosa

will probably start at Shotting Guard, and the center will be the most

important position for the raptors this season with Andrea Bargnani being

the man if they are going to do anything this season. With Ed Davis and

another player as the forwards along with Bargnani and head coach Jay

Triano needs to work harder at his coaching to help make the team much

better and if not P.J. Carlesimo will be the next head coach of the

Toronto Raptors.
