Toronto Raptors game 1 is finished

Toronto Raptors starting lineup

PG - Jarrett Jack, SG - DeMar DeRozan, C - Andrea Bargnani,
F - Reggie Evans, Linas Kleiza

New York Knicks Starting lineup

F - Danilo Gallinari, F - Amar'e Stoudemire, C - Timofey Mozgov,
SG - Landry Fields, PG - Raymond Filton

First Quarter

Bargnani was very hot in this first quarter with most of the raptors

points and got some rebounds too but the down fall in this quarter was the

raptors turnovers that gave the knicks 9 points. Knicks leading by 7 with

score being 29 -22.

Second Quarter

Coming out of the first quarter break the Raptors were asleep as the

Knicks score the first 9 points of the quarter to take a 16-point lead but

after a Raptors timeout they went on a 19-4 run to cut it to 1 point and

the Knicks lead at half by 4 with the score 51-47. Bargnani had a great

first half with 18 points and 4 rebounds but Reggie Evans had a even

better first half with 10 rebounds.

Third Quarter

This quarter was very even eventhough the Raptors cut the lead in half

from 4 points to 2 points at the end of the third quarter with no points

from Bargnani in the quarter and Evan got 3 rebounds. It looks like if the

raptors could shut down the Knicks bench in the final quarter they have a

good chance to win the game but at least the raptors have brought tough

defence tonight.

Fourth Quarter

In this quarter Amar'e came to life and earned his money with 7 of his 19

points late in the quarter and Tyson Chandler had a great game off the

bench including this quarter as he had 22 points in the game. Evans

continued being a monster on the boards tonite and Barbosa had all his 13

points off the bench in the second half and Bargnani had 5 points in this

quarter. 98-93 Knicks win

My final thought are that Bargnani was great in the first half and he was

forgotten in the second half because he did not work hard enough at times

and was not found when he was open other times. If the raptors play hard

like they did especially the last 30 minutes of this game on defence their

going to find ways to win more than they lose.
