Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Sonny Weems F - Amir Johnson C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jose Calderon SG - DeMar Derozan
Atlanta Hawks Starters
F - Josh Smith F - Marvin Williams C - Al Horford
G - Joe Johnson G - Mike Bibby
First Quarter
The Raptors passed the ball around very well with everybody getting touches but by the end of the quarter they had forgotten how to pass the ball and are losing to the Hawks 27-23 after one quarter. Joey Dorsey has been active on the glass because if he has not got 2 hands on it he taps it out to a team-mate and Calderon and Weems have both got 3 assists in the quarter while Amir Johnson sat down quick picking up 2 of the Raptors 3 fouls. Andrei Bargnani had 9 of the Raptor's first 19 points and he also had 4 of the Raptor's 10 boards in the first quarter. The Hawks are lead by Al Horford with 8 points and 4 boards and Josh Smith had 4 assists and 3 boards while Joe Johnson has 6 points as well. So the Raptors need to go back to sharing the ball and having active hands defense in the next 3 quarters and if they can do this they can win the game.
Second Quarter
Bargnani got 2 fouls in the quarter because the rest of the team forgot him and had 1 shot and 3 points but also only had 1 board as well and he has 12 points at half with the Hawks up 6 52-46 at half. Barbosa had all 8 of his 8 points of the half in this quarter but could of shared the ball a little like Calderon who has 5 assists in the half and Kleiza also had 7 points. Dorsey,Amir, and DeMar all had 2 boards in the quarter while Marvin Williams had 9 points and 3 boards and Joe Johnson had 6 points to lead the Hawks and Josh Smith had 2 more assists to give him 6 assists in the half.
Third Quarter
The Raptors were 2 for 11 to start the quarter and the Hawks outscored the Raptors 13-5 to start the third to give themselves a 65-51 lead and have outscored the Raptors 25-11 and lead by 20 77-57 going into the fourth quarter and the Raptors were 3 for 17 in the quarter. Josh Smith had 9 points and 5 boards along with 3 assists in the quarter while Al Harford had 6 and 3 boards and Marvin Williams had 6 boards to lead the Hawks. For the Raptors Jerryd Bayless who hit 4 free throws lead with the team with 4 points in the quarter and Sonny Weems had the only assist in the quarter. Jose Calderon is 1 for 3 in the quarter (1 for 6 in the game) but still had 3 boards in the quarter while DeMar has only taken 1 shot in 21 minutes but had 3 boards in the quarter and the Raptors might fight back in the fourth but the Raptors lost their second in a row because of their third quarters and they need to fix it some how.
Fourth Quarter
Josh Smith finished off his third ever thriple-double in his NBA career with 4 boards and 2 assists and Maurice Evans lead with 3 rebounds in a quarter where they shared the ball and just wanted to get out of there with everybody basically getting a bucket in the quarter. For the Raptors their 7 for 16 was better than their 3 for 17 in the third but they shoot 6 3-balls in the quarter when they had only 6 in the first three quarters and they were lead by DeMar who was 4 for 5 from the floor with 10 points after taken only one shot the rest of the game Jerryd Bayless all of his 5 boards in the quarter and had 4 points to equal his total the rest of the game.
Final Thought
The Raptors lost their way after the first quarter because they did not look to pass up the ball for better shots and forgetten Bargnani in the second quarter was the beginning of the end while also shooting 3 for 17 in the third quarter and to finish with only 78 points in the game was very bad. The Raptors had 6 assists in the first quarter and had only 9 the rest of the game which meant that they forgot to share the ball after the first 12 minutes and Andrei Bargnani had 9 points from 4 for 6 from the floor and then went 2 for 11 the rest of the game and got to offensive fouls tring to post up in the second quarter when his team-mates missed him on the floor. To replace Reggie Evans they put Joey Dorsey in the starting lineup which gave them a quick spark in the first quarter but having your centers have only 12 boards combined (6 each) is not enough and finally someone needs to speak up at half time to get them ready for the third quarter because they have been asleep the last 2 game in the quarter.

Barbosa's 14 and Stojakovic's 13 along with Amir's 11 points helped the Raptors bench put up 63 of the Raptor's 101 points and with Evans getting hurt in the third may be costly if he is out for a while.

Why did the Raptors do the trade for Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless
The Raptors traded Macrus Banks, David Anderson, and Jarrett Jack for Peja
Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless and some money to even out the books. The
reason that the trade was made is because for Raptors it gives them
another chance to rebuild through free agency as the Raptors will have a
lot of extra money to spend next July. What the Raptors do in free agency
will make or break the deal eventhough Jerryd Bayless should be with the
Raptors for a few years and what will make or break him with the Raptors
is if he can learn to pass the ball. As right now when Jerryd Bayless is
on the court he is looking for his own shot and the Raptors do not need to
have a point guard who shoots first and pass second because the point
guard needs to start the idea of sharing the ball. The Raptors right now
are a good team but with a Chris Bosh trade exception of 12.2 million and
maybe even more trades later of maybe someone like Jose Calderon and the
25 million for free agency next year will be amazing if used properly and
if not Bryan Colangelo will be looking for a new job sometime during the
next season.

Raptors beat Celtics with Ryan Allen missing last shot
First Quarter
The Raptors started slowly not being able to find their shot and Celtics scored the first 5 points of the game and 22 of the first 31 points of the game to take a 22-9 lead with 4:45 left in the first quarter and the Raprtors got on a roll by finding their shoot and going to the basket ending the quarter on a 14-9 run. The Celtics were lead by Nate Robinson who scored 16 in the quarter and Ray Allen had 7 points while Shaq O'neal and Kevin Garnett both had 3 boards. The Raptors had even scoring with Bargnani (5), Weems and Calderon (4), Evans and DeRozan (3), and off the bench Johnson and Kleiza (2) while Weems had 3 boards and Evans had 2 boards as the Celtics out rebounded the Raptors 13-10.
Second Quarter
The Raptors were 12 of 16 from the free throw line in the quarter lead by Bargnani who was 6 of 8 in the quarter from the line and made up almost half of his 13 points in the quarter and Evan was a monster on the boards with 6 boards to go with his 4 points and Johnson off the bench had 5 boards and 7 points as well. While Weems has 6 and Calderon had 5 points and Barbosa off the bench as the back-up PG has 4 assists in 6 minutes to lead the team. For the Celtics Paul Pierce has 7 and Kevin Garnett had 6 points while off the bench Big Baby Davis had 5 and Marquis Daniels had 4 point and 7 Celtic players have a board in the quarter. As the Raptors outscored the Celtics 35-22 in the first 10:45 of the Second quarter to take a 58-53 which going back to the first quarter is a 49-31 run during 15:30 of game time on their way to a 61-58 half time lead.
Third Quarter
The Raptors continued their good play and Andrei Bargnani lead the charge with 7 points while Barbosa and Johnson both had 4 points and Johnson had 3 boards too but Reggie Evans was the board monster in this quarter with 6 and DeMar lead the team with 2 assists in the quarter. While the Celtics were lead by Marquis Daniels with 5 points while Glen Davis and Nate Robinson had 4 and on the boards Garnett and Allen both had 2 and the Raptors lead 82-75.

The Raptors were able to handle not scoring in a 6 minute spand and Evans had 2 more boards in the quarter and Barbosa had 6 points while Bargnani and Johnson both had 4 points and Johnson had 2 boards as well while the Celtics were lead by Peirce with 7 and Allen had 6 and Allen had 3 rebounds.
Final Thought
The Raptors were in tough until they found their shot and then they took a 7 pointlead into the fourth where the Celtics woke up and made it tough for the Raptors down the stretch. To think this is the first win aganist the Celtics since the 2007-08 season with a small bench with the trade going down last night and not having Jack, Anderson, and or Banks in the game and the Raptors won it on the line and Bargnani had 29 points and Evan had 16 boards so it could be good going into Wednesday aganist the sixers with the new players in the lineup.

F - Sonny Weems F - Amir Johnson C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Houston Rockets Starters
F - Shane Battier F - Luis Scola C - Brad Miller
PG - Kyle Lowry SG - Kevin Martin
First Quarter
The Houston Rockets in the middle of the quarter went on a 7-0 on their way to a 5 point advantage but the Raptors ended the quarter on a 7-2 run and lead going into the second quarter 28-27. The Raptors are being lead by Bargnani who has 11 points and 3 boards and Weems has 9 points and Evan has 5 of the 11 boards in the quarter while Jack has 4 of the 8 assists. The Rockets have spread their offense throughout the starters with Kevin Martin (8 points and 3 assists), Shane Battier(6 points and 2 boards), and Luis Scola (5 points and 2 boards), Brad Miller (4 points and 3 boards), and Kyle Lowry (4 assists). Great start to the game for both team but whoever gets more defensive stops and take better offensive shots will win the game.
Second Quarter
The Raptors outscored the Rockets at the beginning of the quarter 19-7 to take a 47-34 but then the Rockets fought back a little by going on a 9-2 run but then the Raptors scored the finally 2 points to lead after 2 51-43. The Raptors were lead off the bench by Linas Kleiza with all his 8 points in this quarter and David Anderson with 7 points along with 3 boards while DeMar DeRozen had 2 boards and most impressive is Jarrett Jack with 3 more assists in the quarter (7 in the half). The Rockets were lead by Ishmael Smith with 4 points and 2 rebounds and Courtney Lee with 3 points off the bench and Battier with 3 points and Lowry had 3 assists. Raptors had a great second quarter especially defensively to build a great lead going into the second half.
Third Quarter
Raptors start the quarter 2 for 10 from the field and the Rockets go on a 17-4 run and what lead as the Rockets lead by 5 60-55 and the Raptors had 8 fouls in the quarter (9 in first half). The Rockets are a well balanced team when going well as Luis Scola and Kevin Martin both had 10 points in the quarter and Shane Battier had 5 points and 2 boards along with 3 assists and Kyle Lowry had 5 assists while Martin also had 3 boards in the quarter. The Raptors were lead by Andrei Bargnani with 7 points and DeMar had 5 points and Evans had 3 boards (all offensive) while Jose Calderon had 4 points and 2 assists. The Raptors faught late to take a 1 point lead into the fourth quarter 75-74 but Sonny Weems had 9 points in the first quarter in 10 minutes but only 9 minutes in the next 2 quarters he may be needed by the end of the game and should be used.
Fourth Quarter
To start the fourt quarter the Raptors started on a 15-6 run to open a 90-80 10 points lead but then the Rockets went on a 7-1 run to get it within 4 points and than the teams went back and forth. Then Sonny Weems came off the bench with 2:24 left in the game and right away he gets a steal and sets up a basket on the other end to give the Raptors a 6 point lead and he was a force the rest of the game to help the Raptors win by 10 104-94. The Raptors were lead by Lenas Kleiza had 7 and DeMar DeRozan who had 6 points and DeMar had 5 boards in the quarter and Amir Johnson had 3 boards playing the whole quarter with Evans not getting on the floor in the quarter. The Rockets were lead by Kevin Martin had 11 of the Rockets 20 points in the quarter and Kyle Lowry had 4 boards of the Rockets 11 boards in the quarter.
Final Thoughts
The Raptors point guards did what they need to do having 15 of the teams 22 assists in the game and only 3 of the teams 14 turnovers in the game and Sonny Weems was very good while he was on the court (5 fouls) as he had 13 points and 3 boards along 2 assists and steals in the game. Bargnani had very good quarters the first (11 points,3 boards) and third (7 points) and had 8 points in the other 2 quarters and had as many boards in the first as the rest of the game. Kleiza thanks to his fourh quarter was 2 on the team with 17 (7 in the fourth) and DeMar had 6 of his 15 was also in the fourth so the raptors had timely scoring and the Rockets had 2 good quarters where everybody chipped in and 2 quarter where there were some passangers on the floor but without Meng the Rockets are not the Rockets.
Raptors (4-9)
Rockets (3-8)

Bargnani, Weems, and Evans man handle 76ers in game 12
Toronto Raptors Starters (3-9)
F - Sonny Weems F - Amir Johnson C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Philladelphia 76ers starters
F - Elton Brand F - Andres Nocioni C - Spencers Hawes
PG - Jrue Holiday SG - Even Turner
First Quarter
Andrei Bargnani has 11 of the first 14 points in the game for the Raptors and Reggie Evans has 7 of the Raptors 14 rebounds in the quarter too and the Raptors played tough defence allowing Philly only 37.5% shooting in the quarter while the Raptors shoot 50% and 76ers lead by Holiday with 8 points and Brand with 6 points while Turner has 4 boards. This was quarter of runs beginning with the 76ers going on a 11-3 run and the Raptors follpwed with a 7-2 to get it to 2 and then the 76ers matched with their own 7-2 run to go up 7 and finally the Raptors ended the quarter on a 6-0 to be down 1 26-25 after 1.
Second Quarter
The Raptors tied the game early in the quarter 29-29 and Weems lead the Raptors with 9 points while Bargnani had 6 points and Evans had 3 more rebounds (10 in the half) in the quarter. The 76ers were lead by Brand who had 8 points and the quarter was tied at 21 so going into the second half it is 47-46 and whoever plays better defense in the second half will probally win the game.
Third Quarter
The 76Ers double their lead going into the final quarter and lead by 2 71-69 and Brand had 10 of his 24 points through 3 in this quarter and for the Raptors are lead by Bargnani in the quarter with 6 points and Evans had 4 rebounds and he has 14 of the Raptor's 34 through 3 quarter and Weems had another 3 to give him 18 going into the fourth quarter. The 76ers have more rebounds (36-34) and the Raptors has 1 more free throw (17/21,16/21) and still thwe best defense and more free throws made will win the game and more rebounds also means more scoring chances.
Fourth Quarter
The Raptors score first 6 points of the quarter and lead 75-71 but the Raptors and 76ers went back and forth til it was tied 85-85 with 3:20 left in the game but then the Raptors finished on a 9-1 run to win the game 94-86 and they were lead by Weems 7 points and Bargnani's 6 points in the quarter. Holiday had 5 and Brand had 3 to lead the 76ers in points Turner had 2 more boards to give him 12 in the game and Thaddeus Young had 4 of 10 points of the bench while Calderon had 6 of his 12 points and 2 of his 5 rebound and 2 of his 8 assists in this quarter.
Final Thought
The Raptors were a quarter away from having a 3-1 road trip (third quarter in the Wizards game last night) but if you look at the teams they played this is the record someone would of excepted coming into the trip. Bargnani (30) and Weems (25) had more points (55) than the rest of the team did (39) and Calderon was a decent third with 12 of the bench while Reggie Evans 14 rebounds was twice as much as the next closest players (Bsrgnani and Kleiza both with 7). The Raptors grinded the win out but it would have been easier if you do not get ou rebounded 48-44 and Turner had a quarter of those put wortest is take they got a third (16) on the offensive board which creates easy baskets most times. The next 2 games they will need to get at it on the boards and have good shoot selections as they now come home to face Houston Rockets on Friday followed by the Boston Celtrics and these are the first 2 games of 12 of the next 17 games at the acc.

First Quarter
The Raptors look like they liked the Fla sun too much as they have been out rebounded 16-5 lead the Wizards JaVale McGee with 7 boards in the first quarter and Blatche had 8 points, Arenas has 5, Hinrirch and Thornton along with Nick Young all have 4 points. While Sonny lead the Raptors with 11 of the raptors 23 points in the game and if the Raptors get boards along with strong active hands defense they come back from the 4 point deficit 27-23 after 1 quarter.
Second Quarter
The Wiazards have 12 more boards in the quarter and 28 boards in the half and the main reason that the Raptors are down 7 54-47 at half time and Nick Young had 10 points in the quarter and Blatche has 5 points and Hinrich has 6 of the Wizards 13 assists in the game. Jack has 8 points in the quarter while Evans is the rebound leader with 4 so the Raptors need to still be more active on the boards and on the defense to get back into the game to have a chance to win the game.
Third Quarter
Gilbert Arenas has gone off in the quarter to help the Wizards have biggest lead of the game with 22 and with 3 minutes left the Raptors need to cut the lead by having good effort on offense with better shot selection and active hands defense in the last 15 minutes of the game. The Raptors outscored 36-21 in this quarter and head coach Jay Triano was so hot coming out of half time that he said that the team played like horse shit in the first half. Gilbert Arenas scored 10 points to lead the Wizards and Kirk Hinrich had 7 points and 5 assists in the quarter. Bargnani has 0 rebounds in the game so far but he had 9 poiints (2 in the first half) while Reggie Evans had 5 rebound (4 in the first half) and Amir Johnson had 3 rebounds (2 in the first half) but the story is 4 assists in this quarter and 14 in the first three quarters.
Fourth Quarter
The Raptors outscored the Wizards 26-19 in the quarter lead by Linas Kleiza who had 6 of his 15 points in the quarter and out rebound the Wizards 12-8 in the quarter too and basically the Wizard had a lot of players get 2 or 4 points in the quarter.
Final Thought
The Raptors looked like they had not played since Staurday and that they enjoyed the sun and the Miami nightlife a little to much and were not ready for the game and it sounded like Triano let them have it at half time and then lad an egg in the third quarter (-15 point difference) and it hurt because the other 3 quarters were tied 73-73. To also let the worest rebounding team (averages 38 a game) without their best Rebounder John Wall to take down 47 rebounds and a +11 on the boards and finally have Bargnani having no rebounds in 3 quarter. Then to have Jerrett Jack lead the team with 5 assists and that is 1 more than Reggie Evans who had 4 while the rest of the team had only 10 to give the Raptors only 19 assists in the game and Kirk Hinrich himself had 12 meaning that the Raptors need to share the ball a lot more in Philadelphia tommorrow night and the other 70 more games after tommorrow night.

Game 10 - 2 Kings of the 3 Kings take down short handed Raptors
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Sonny Weems F - Amir Johnson C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Miami Heat Starters
F - Chris Bosh F - Lebon James C - Zydrunas Ilgauskas
G - Carlos Arroyo G - Dwyane Wade
First Quarter
Heat come out hot shooting 59 % from the floor lead by King James with 10 points and 4 assists and Wade had 7 points 2 rebounds while Boshsat most of the quarter with 2 fouls but still had 2 points and 2 rebounds. While the Raptors were lead by Sonny in his second start of the season with 10 points and with Evans out with the flu Amir started had 4 points and 2 rebounds before sitting with 2 fouls and Joey Dorsey came off the bench with 2 quick rebounds snd Jack 3 assists while Calderon had 9 points. The Raptors opened the quarter 0-4 but then shoot almost 50/50 with 8 for 17 from the floor but Bargnani was 0-7 from the floor with a nice 5 rebounds and the raptors kept themselves in the game with their 13 rebounds and 4 offensive rebounds to be only down 9 34-25 going into the second quarter.
Second Quarter
The heat (55 % in the half) went on a 12-4 run to give themselves a 17 point lead but the Raptors got it down to 13 63-50 and The heat were lead by Wade 11 points and 2 rebounds while King James had 6 points Bosh had 5 points and 2 rebounds in the quarter. The Raptors got more boards in the quarter lead by Amir's 4 and Dorsey's 3 so the Raptors with 26 rounds and 10 offensive stuck around while Calderon had 6 of his 9 points in the quarter and Bargnani went 4 for 6 from the floor and had 9 points in the quarter with 2 more rebounds.DeMar also had 7 points and 4 rebounds in the quarter and the Raptors need to play tougher defense in the second half to make it respectable.
Third Quarter
The Raptors go on a 16-4 run in 5:45 to close it to 5 points but in the last couple of minutes the heat built it up to 10 again 84-74 and the Raptors defense had the heat shooting 32 % ( 8 for 20) in the quarter. Amir had 6 points and DeMar had 4 to lead the Raptors and Dorsey and David Anderson both had 4 of the Raptor's 11 rebounds in the quarter. The heat were lead by King James who had 5 points and 2 assists and Bosh had 4 points and 1 rebound while Wade had 3 points and 2 rebounds in this quarter so if the Raptors want to win they need to play 12 minutes of tough defense in the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
The Raptors got it down 6 points but that is the closest they would get as the heat win 109-98 and Wade lead them in the quarter with 8 of his 31 points and 2 rebounds and King James had 2 points and 5 assists while Bosh had 1 point along with 1 rebound. Raptors were lead by Bargnani's 9 points along with DeMar and his 8 points but not enough and Dorsey had 2 more rebounds to give him 11 to lead in rebounds for the game.
Finsl Thoughts
The Raptors were hurt having Evans not play but Dorsey really came to play all game and eventhough Amir had only 2 rebounds the Raptors took it to the heat on the boards with help from Bargnani's 9 rebounds and Bargnani was missed in the first quarter (0-7, 2 points). It was nice to see Bargnani and DeMar lead the way in the fourth but DeMar 2 for 5 with free throws in the fourth could have made it closer and the rest of the road trip could be good with Philly and Washington still to come. Wade really showed that he can do it down the strech and Lebron feed the ball in the fourth but Bosh ended up on the bench in the fourth and his 12 points and 6 rebounds are not solid for him while James Jones quitely had 14 points with 4 of his 5 second half points in the fourth quarter to go with his 6 points in the second quarter all off the bench.

Game 9 and the Raptors win and they win on the road and they beat Superman bring on the 3 kings
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Sonny Weems F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Orlando Magic Starters
F - Quentin Richardson F - Rashard Lewis C - Dwight Howard
SG - Vince Carter PG - Jameer Nelson
First Quarter
The Magic started the game well with a 9-4 lead until the Raptors called a time out and then the Raptors scored 8 straight points to take a 12-9 lead and then the zone defense that had helped them hurt them when the Magic went 5 for 10 with 3-balls to take 31-30 lead into the second quarter.Bargnani and Johnsonson lead the Raptors with 8 points each and Jack had 7 points and 3 rebounds and Reggie also had 3 rebounds in this quarter while the Magic were lead by Nelson 2-3 with 3-balls (11 points) and Richardson 2 for 6 with 3-balls (8 points) and Howard had 8 points and 5 rebounds.
Second Quarter
Bargnani scored 13 of his 21 first half points in this quarter (shooting 9 for 12 from the field) and Reggie had another 3 rebounds in the quarter and DeMar scored 6 of his 11 first half point in the quarter. While the Magic were lead Mickael Pietrus 9 points of the bench in the quarter (3-4 with 3-balls) and Haward had 7 points and 1 rebound and the game is tied going into the second half with the Raptors 59 (57 % from the floor) - Magic 59 (56 % from the floor) so whoever comes out in the third with the better defense have the best chance to win the game.
Third Quarter
The Raptors outscored the Magic 30 - 23 to take a 7 point lead into the fourth quarter with balanced scoring for the Raptors with a # of players with 4 or 5 points in the quarter and DeMar had 2 rebounds and the rest of the starters had 1 each. Howard had 8 points in the quarter but had to work for them with 4 for 7 with free throws and Nelson had 6 points so if the Raptors can keep up their defense the fourth they could win the game.
Fourth Quarter
The quarter was another yo-yo quarter where they got the lead upto 10 but then in a 7 minute strech the Magic outscored the Raptors 12-4 and with 28 seconds left on the clock and the Raptors with the ball it was tied at 100 but Jack came back into the game to run down the clock and then he drove into the paint and then sent the ball to Sonny for a 3-ball. With 7.1 seconds left after a timeout the Magic could not get the ball in play so they had to call their final timeout and then Calderon steal the inbounds pass and got fouled to put the game away with free throws and DeMar was on fire in this quarter with 11 of his 26 points and 4 of his 7 rebounds in the quarter. Pietrus had another 9 of the bench and Howard had to earn his points 2 for 6 of free throws and Reggie was amazing on the boards with 5 of his 12 rebounds in the quarter.
Final Thought
The Raptors played a great second half and Magic were not interested til late in the game and the Raptors fought and clawed for everything they got and Triano had timely timeouts and worked the bench well and hack a howard was perfect but Bargnani in the second half going 3 for 11 from the floor with 6 points so not so good. Evans with 12 rebounds and DeMar with timely 26 points while Amir put up 12 points but not the rebounds and Calderon with his 6 assists were good but Jack's 4 turnover were not just like Vince Carter 4 for 11 from the floor with only 10 points

Game 8 bad at home and now on the road again not good
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Charlotte Bobcats Starters
F - Gerald Wallace F - Boris Diaw C - Nazr Mohammed
PG - D.J. Augustin SG - Stephen Jackson
First Quarter
The Raptors has 4 turnovers and has 7 points off these turnovers early while DeMar and Kleiza had 2 quick fouls each and sat most of the quarter while Bargnani has been active on both ends of the floor with 10 points along with active hands defence but the Raptors did not attempt a free throw in the quarter. Reggie has 6 rebounds and Gerald Wallace has most of the Bobcats points and the Raptors need more defence in the rest of the game but only down 26-24 going into the second quarter.
Second Quarter
It a back and forth quarter with the raptors having a 1 point lead and were down 5 points but they only had 2 turnovers in the quarter and Bargnani had 7 points and 6 rebounds in the quarter while Sonny Weems has come off the bench for 10 points and 2 rebounds for DeMar. While Wright has 5 points and 2 rebounds off the bench for Kleiza and Amir has 7 points and 7 rebounds in the first half while Wallace was somewhat quited and D.J. Augustin has 12 points in the half and most in the second quarter. Whoever gets better defence and goes on a run in the second will win the game.
Third Quarter
The Raptors take a 74 - 69 lead into the fourth quarter with Sonny had 7 points and 3 rebounds in the quarter and Evans had 4 rebounds in the quarter while Amir had 5 points and a rebound. Wallace had 5 points and Augustin had 4 points and the reality is whoever has the biggest run in the quarter and has the best active hands defence will win the game.
Fourth Quarter
Raptors miss 3 free throws in the quarter which is the difference in the game along with the Raptors had the ball at the end of the game down 3 and they could not get a shoot off as Bargnani has it taken from him. Stephen Jackson had half of his 20 points in the quarter and tyre thomas had a good quarter to help the bobcats win 101 - 96 (2 free throws at the end of the game for Jackson) and Bargnani had 5 points (8 in the half) in the quarter. Evans was quiet and the Raptors just could not finish the game off and with their young and inexperienced players it maybe a long season.
Final Thought
The Raptors could have put this game away on a number chances but just could not close the deal Reggie 10 rebounds in the first three quarter (11 in all) and Amir having 13 rebounds and Bargnani quietly having 12 so the bigs brought effort. Calderon off the bench passed the ball around a lot more (9 assists to 5 assists) which is more needed than Jack scoring more (12-4) and more importantly Jack had more turnovers (6-1).In the end the points off 19 turnovers would help lose many a game even aganist a 1-6 team in the Bobcats and Wallace was quite on the score board but his 16 rebounds were way too much and now the Raptors head to Florida.

Toronto Raptor game 7 and hoping for some good home cooking
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Golden State Warriors Starters
F - Dorell Wright F - David Lee C - Andris Biedrins
G - Monta Ellis G - Stephen Curry
First Quarter
The Raptors started hot to open the game with the score being 8-0 but then the Warriors finished the quarter 26-11 to lead after 1 quarter 26-19. Monta Ellis had 8 points in the quarter and Linas Kleiza scored 9 points for the Raptors and Evans had 4 rebounds in the quarter as well but nobody else for the Raptors have done anything yet in the game and they need to put a great game together to get confidence.
Second Quarter
Warriors start on a 17-7 run to open up the quarter to put the Raptors down 43-26 before a raptors timeout after this point the Raptors tried to chip away at the lead but the warriors matched them almost step for step and lead at half 55-41. The Warrior guards have 26 points in the half and the Warriors have been to the line 10 times and the Raptors 4 times and the Warriors are out rebounding the Raptors 24-14 and the Warriors are shooting 52% and the Raptors 38% (33% after 8-0 start) so now the Raptors need to put together a full second half and Bargnani had 5 points in the second quarter and needs to continue in the second half of this game.
Third Quarter
The Warriors started the second half on a 12-6 run to take a 20 point lead 67-47 and then Raptors started playing tough defence and got to the rim with ease baskets especially Jarrett Jack and Barbosa to get it down to 9 points 75-66. finished the quarter going back and forth and going into the fourth quarter down 12 and now the Raptors need their first great fourth quarter and need to stop Ellis and Curry who have both been going off all game long.
Fourth Quarter
Curry had 16 of his 34 points in the quarter so they could not stop the Warriors eventhough Ellis went down hard late in the game and the Raptors scored 12 straight points to draw within 4 points but the Raptors ended up not getting closer in the game. While Weems scored all of his 12 points off the bench in the fourth quarter and Jack put up 24 points in the game but it really hurt that Bargnani got into early foul trouble and Evans just did not get the job done (6 rebounds) and both were non-factors in the game. Kleiza had 11 points in the second half and David Lee and his 14 points and 12 rebounds was the only other player for the Warriors other than the guards to do anything in the game.
Final Thought
Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis were a 1-2 punch that the Raptors could not handle with their combined 62 points but the Raptors continued their yo-yo play of starting well, fall into a deep hole, then get out of it with tough (active hands) defence, and then falling back again where they lose the game out right. Jack with 24 points was good and passing the ball during their run in the fourth quarter and getting to the basket along with Kleiza was also good but more passing is needed while Amir and especially Reggie did not play hard on the boards with only a 11 combined rebounds when they have been a lot better in the other games. Finally in the end if the Raptors do not find a way to play defence more often and go to the basket on offense more often there will be big charges in the organization (maybe head coach and/or gm will be gone).

Raptors game 6 and the end of the westcoast trip
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Portland Trail Blazers Starters
F - LaMarcus Aldridge F - Nicolas Batun C - Marcus Camby
PG - Andre Miller SG - Brandon Roy
Trail Blazers starters are out working the Raptors starters on both ends
of the court and Kleiza is forcing shots and Bargnani has two quick fouls
and the Blazers has outscored 12-4 and the bench players come in and
turned around the game again. With Amir playing hard, Calderon
distrubuting the ball, and Barbosa going inside and going to the free throw line where the Raptors outscored the Blazers 9-4 in the quarter and ended the quarter 6-0 run to pull to 1 point disadvantage 18-17 to the Blazers going to the second quarter.
Second Quarter
Raptors get the first 2 points but then the Trail Blazers go on a 17-5 run to take a 11 point lead 35-24 and then the Raptors go on a 8-0 run to get it 35-32 before a Blazer timeout. The Blazers outscored the Raptors 10-2 to end the quarter to lead 45-34 and Brandon Roy lead the way for the Blazers with 13 in the quarter while Bargnani had 10 points and the other Raptors starters are 2 for 16 and the Raptors shot 27.8 in the first half and put up 9 3-balls where none of them went into the basket. Reggie Evans has 7 rebounds in the game and Amir Johnson snd Bargnani have 4 each in the half and the Raptors need to go to the basket and forget about 3-balls along with better production from DeRozen, Kleiza, and Jack to make a run to win the game in the second half.
Third Quarter
Tired and lazy Raptors settle for jumpers and they are not even going inside towards the basket and they fall down 69 - 46 and then after the Raptor timeout they go on a 13 - 4 run to end the third quarter and they need to be more focused even on a back to back. They will have a hard time coming back from a 73-59 disadvantage going into the fourth quarter if they settle for shots while whatever the Blazers have wanted they have gotten throughout the game so far.
Fourth Quarter
The Raptors started the fourth quarter with a 6-0 run but then went back to jumpers and missed 3-balls atleast until Jack kept the curse alive with a made 3-ball with less than 3 minutes left in the game. After this point the Blazers outscored the Raptors 19-4 in the next 6:51 and then raptors ended the game 14-5 run so the Blazers end up winning 97-83 as the Blazers went to the basket at will and the Raptors settled for jumpers for the most part of the game.
Final Thoughts
The Portland Trail Blazers should get a lot of credit for doing something that wins a lot of basketball games throughout the league which is going to the basket. With Brandon Roy having 26 points, LaMarcus Aldridge having 22 points, Nicolas Batun having 20 points who combined went 3 for 9 with 3-balls and that made up for only 9 of their combined 68 points in the game. While the Raptors went 1 for 17 on 3-ball attempts and on another note DeMar DeRozen went 1 for 10 from the field without a 3-ball attempt but also he did not shot a free throw either in the game. While Kleiza shot as many 3-balls (0 for 4) as free throws (2 for 4) and had only 6 points in 23 minutes. While Bargnani (8 rebounds), Evans (9 rebounds), and Johnson (7 rebounds) were somewhat active on the boards but could have done better and Jarrett Jack lead the team with only 16 points but he did not pass the ball (only 2 assists) and he is your starting point guard. Who is usually the guy on the court that is setting up the points for the team by passing the ball around to other guys and finally a 2 for 1 ratio for free throws to 3-balls attempted is not good but now they come home where they need to play an all around game which they did not do on their 0 for 4 road trip.

Raptor game 5
Starting Lineups
Raptors - Lakers
F Linas Kleiza - Ron Artest
F Reggie Evans - Lamar Odom
C Andrea Bargnani - Pau Gasol
SG Jarrett Jack - Kobe Bryant
PG DeMar Derozan - Derek Fisher
First Quarter
The Raptors started out well but then the Lakers woke up and went 23-8 run to take a 33-20 lead and with 10 turnovers in the quarter not to good for the Raptors and Steve Blake 3 3-balls in the quarter and Kobe got 8 points in the quarter while DeMar got 8 points in the quarter. Raptors need to settle down their energy because it is going to be a hard game to win no matter what they do.
Second Quarter
For the Raptors the second quarter was a bench production with a 34-9 bench advantage along with a 6-0 fast break advantage while Barbosa lead of the bench with 15 points. The Raptors outscored the Lakers in the quarter 38-20 to take a 58-55 lead and DeMar is having a great return to California with 10 points and Evans had 7 rebounds and Amir Johnson had 8 rounds in the first half but now the Raptors need to have a third quarter like in Utah to take it to the Lakers.
Third Quarter
Reggie Evans doubled his rebounds with 7 in the quarter and the Lakers outscored the Raptoras by 7 leading 82-78 and the Raptors with a +15 on rebounds going into the fourth. Kobe a very quiet 16 points in the game and Gasol has 22 points and being a problem in the paint but in the end if the Raptors can put together a great fourth quarter the Raptors have a chance to win the game.
Fourth Quarter
Amir Johnson is have his best game of the season and has a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds so that tonight he has been a great 1-2 punch on the boards with Evans and Raptors down 3 with 6:20 left in the fourth. Bargnani has scored a couple of basket in the quarter but just like everybody in starting 5 except Evans with his rebounds needs to step up down 7 with 3 minutes left in the quarter. In the end Kobe was too much for the Raptors as he hit the key shots down the streach but what was way too much for the Raptors is 21 turnover in the game and just not enough from the starters. Lakers (6-0) 108 - Raptors (1-4) 103
Final Thoughts
21 turnover in the game was way too much but they put themselves in a deep hole with 10 turnovers along with a 13 point defect after one quarter. Pau Gasol had 30 points and Kobe with 22 points but with Bargnani 14 points and 3 turnovers and DeMar DeRozen 15 points and 3 turnovers along with Kleiza with 4 turnovers in 23 minutes which is just not good ennough in the game. Barbosa had 17 points, Amar Johnson 12 points and 15 rebounds, and Jose Calderon 14 points and 8 assists made the bench better than the starter except for Reggie Evans 14 rebounds. In the end the Raptors youngsters were too excited for glits and glamer of LA to start the game and they need to put 48 minutes together to win 1 of 4 games on the road trip Vs. Portland Trailblazers.

Raptors good, bad, and ugly for week 1
Raptors good, bad, and ugly for week 1
Good - Andrei Bargnani, DeMar DeRozan, and Reggie Evans have been playing
above expectations this week and need to keep it up to have even a chance
at a chance to make the playoffs this season. Bargnani has averaged 24
points a game and DeRozan has averaged 15.8 points a game (with a bad game
aganist the Jazz thrown in to bring the #'s down) and finally Evans was
all world in the first 3 games along with a subpar game aganist the Jazz
and has a respectable 13.8 rebounds a game.
Bad - Jay Triano let the Raptors go 3 for their last 13 shots in the third
quarter without calling a time-out aganist the Kings and then let the
Kings outscore the Raptors 11-3 to start the fourth quarter to tie the
game. Inwhich they had a 17-point lead going into the second quarter and
they should have won the game with that kind of lead aganist the Kings.
Ugly - Raptors score the first basket of the game aganist the Jazz and
then let the Jazz go 7-7 while the Raptors went 0-6 to give the Jazz a
quick 15-2 lead. Then they streched it out to a 23 point lead and finally
lead after 1 quarter 41-22 and the Raptors tried to claw their way back
but it was too much in the end and they lose by double figures.

Then they streched it out to a 23 point lead and finally
lead after 1 quarter 41-22 and the Raptors tried to claw their way back
but it was too much in the end and they lose by double figures.

raptor game 4
Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Utah Jazz Starters
F - Andrei Kirilenko F - Paul Millsap C - Al Jefferson
PG - Deron Williams SG - Raja Bell
First Quarter
Raptor scored the first 2 points of the game but than the Jazz scored the next 15 straight points and the Jazz outscored the Raptors 26-6 into the paint and 15-1 fast break points along with the Jazz shotting 68% and the Raptors shot 33.3% in the quarter. The Jazz lead 41-22 after one and Williams for the Jazz has 14 points so now the Raptors need to show what there made of during the rest of the game win or lose (10 games losing streak aganist Jazz).
Second Quarter
Raptor got the lead down to 13 points in the quarter but at the end of the quarter DeRozan hit a 3-ball to pull even with the Jazz for the quarter as the Jazz go into half time with a 66-47 lead with a 42-18 advantage in the paint in the half. For the Raptors the starter are non-existant and the bench is trying hard but their not starting for a reason while the Jazz are scoring at will and defending the paint much better than the Raptors. Barbosa and Weems off the bench lead with Bargnani with 9 points each and Bargnani lead with 4 rebounds and the starts for Jazz except Bell the other starting 4 are all in double figures so the Raptors need to work hard and chip away at the lead.
Third Quarter
Raptor start quarter fast on a 14-6 until a Jazz timeout and then they kept it going to cut the lead to 5 points 81-76 with 3 minutes left with Bargnani with 13 at this point and Raptors shooting 62% in the quarter while Jazz are shooting 26% in the quarter so far. Jazz get a big 3-ball at the end of the third from C.J. Miles but the Raptors shot 64% in the quarter while Bargnani got 15 points in the quarter and Sonny Weems 13 off the bench while DeRozan has 13 going into the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter
Jazz too much in the first half of the fourth quarter building the lead back up to 17 points with Andrei Kirilenko,Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson, C.J. Mills off the bench with 16 points. Deron Williams ended up 3 rebounds short of a triple - double with 22 points, 14 assists, and 7 rebounds and Al Jefferson 27 points while Bargnani scored 26 points and most impressive was Sonny Weems career high 23 points off the bench for the Raptors.
Final Thoughts
The starters did not show up for the raptors in the first quarter and the defence horrible in the quarter giving up 41 points and taking a 19 point hole going into the second quarter and the second was a complete saw off. The tough defence showed up in the third quarter and the raptors especially Bargnani with 15 in the quarter and they got it down from 19 to 1 by the end of the quarter but in the end they did not have enough energy to take the fourth quarter and Lakers up next will not be easy to win.

raptors game 3
Toronto Raptors Starting lineup
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Sacramento Kings
F - Omri Casspi F - Carl Landry C - DeMarcus Cousins
SG - Tyreke Evans PG - Beno Udrih
First Quarter
Raptors Lead 33-16 over Kings after the first quarter and Reggie Evans is
keeping up his strong start to the season with 10 rebounds and 6 points
along with an assist. Andrea Bargnani has 10 points and so does DeMar
Derozan and the Raptors 12-13 from the free throw line and the Raptors
came out fast scored and kepted the Kings off the scoreboard.
Second Quarter
Raptor still lead 62-51 at half but the Kings faught a little to bit off a
little of the lead while Andrea Bargnani had 7 points in the quarter to
give him 17 (5 of 7 from the floor)in the half and DeMar Derozan has 5 in
the quarter to give him 15 points (4 for 6 from the floor) at half. The
Raptors shot 58% from the floor and lead in fast break points 21-6 at half
while Tyreke Evans is the reason the Kings are somewhat in the game with
16 points (7 for 12 from the floor).
Third Quarter
Raptors lead after three quarters 86-78 and the Raptors were 3 for 13 in
the last 6 minutes of the quarter but an important 3-ball by Jose Calderon
helped stop the bleeding going into the fourth quarter. Linas Kleiza
scored 11 points in the quarter and Reggie Evans had 5 rebounds in the
quarter to give him 17 going into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
Kings outscored 11-3 to start the quarter and they kept coming and ended
up takening a 8-point lead in the late stages of the quarter but the
Raptors came back and had a chance to tie it on the last shoot but could
not send it to overtime and the Raptors lose 111-108.
Final thoughts
The Raptors started on fire but the Kings cooled them down as the game
went on and the Raptors got a little nervous when the Kings went on big
runs and Jay Triano could have used his timeouts and settled the team
down. In the end the Raptors are still very young and winning in
Sacramento is really tough for the Raptors because they have only won
twice in francise history in Sacramento especially with Tyreke Evans going
off in the last 3 quarters for 21 points and his supporting cast chipped
in when needed. While the Raptors got solid games from Andrea Bargnani
with 28 points but could have helped with more boards (only 2) and DeMar
Derozan with a career tying 24 points and Reggie Evans had an amazing 19
rebounds but needs some help but it still earily and they will pick up
road wins along the way.

preview of Raptors Vs. Kings- 01/11/10
The Raptors (1-1) Vs. Kings (2-1)@ ARCO arena
ppg pag h a
Raptors 97.0 89.5 1-1 0-0
Kings 108 108.7 0-0 2-1
our reb opp reb
Raptors 45.5 41
Kings 39.7 41.3
The Raptors have a chance to win this game and the best way to make it
happen is by first playing some defence as the Kings are a run and gun
team putting up lots of points and giving up lots of points and the more
stops the Raptors get the better chance they have of winning the game.
Also with Evans leading the charge the Raprtors need to continue to crash
the boards to give themselves more chances with the ball to put up points
and any road game is going to be hard to win so the harder you work the
closer the game is. On the other hand the Kings are playing their first
home game of the season and will be playing hsrd for their own fans
eventhough they played last night and lost and playing only offence would
be exciting for both teams while it diffently works into the hands of the
Kings.
