Toronto Raptor game 7 and hoping for some good home cooking

Toronto Raptors Starters
F - Linas Kleiza F - Reggie Evans C - Andrea Bargnani
PG - Jarrett Jack SG - DeMar Derozan
Golden State Warriors Starters
F - Dorell Wright F - David Lee C - Andris Biedrins
G - Monta Ellis G - Stephen Curry

First Quarter

The Raptors started hot to open the game with the score being 8-0 but then the Warriors finished the quarter 26-11 to lead after 1 quarter 26-19. Monta Ellis had 8 points in the quarter and Linas Kleiza scored 9 points for the Raptors and Evans had 4 rebounds in the quarter as well but nobody else for the Raptors have done anything yet in the game and they need to put a great game together to get confidence.

Second Quarter

Warriors start on a 17-7 run to open up the quarter to put the Raptors down 43-26 before a raptors timeout after this point the Raptors tried to chip away at the lead but the warriors matched them almost step for step and lead at half 55-41. The Warrior guards have 26 points in the half and the Warriors have been to the line 10 times and the Raptors 4 times and the Warriors are out rebounding the Raptors 24-14 and the Warriors are shooting 52% and the Raptors 38% (33% after 8-0 start) so now the Raptors need to put together a full second half and Bargnani had 5 points in the second quarter and needs to continue in the second half of this game.

Third Quarter

The Warriors started the second half on a 12-6 run to take a 20 point lead 67-47 and then Raptors started playing tough defence and got to the rim with ease baskets especially Jarrett Jack and Barbosa to get it down to 9 points 75-66. finished the quarter going back and forth and going into the fourth quarter down 12 and now the Raptors need their first great fourth quarter and need to stop Ellis and Curry who have both been going off all game long.

Fourth Quarter

Curry had 16 of his 34 points in the quarter so they could not stop the Warriors eventhough Ellis went down hard late in the game and the Raptors scored 12 straight points to draw within 4 points but the Raptors ended up not getting closer in the game. While Weems scored all of his 12 points off the bench in the fourth quarter and Jack put up 24 points in the game but it really hurt that Bargnani got into early foul trouble and Evans just did not get the job done (6 rebounds) and both were non-factors in the game. Kleiza had 11 points in the second half and David Lee and his 14 points and 12 rebounds was the only other player for the Warriors other than the guards to do anything in the game.

Final Thought

Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis were a 1-2 punch that the Raptors could not handle with their combined 62 points but the Raptors continued their yo-yo play of starting well, fall into a deep hole, then get out of it with tough (active hands) defence, and then falling back again where they lose the game out right. Jack with 24 points was good and passing the ball during their run in the fourth quarter and getting to the basket along with Kleiza was also good but more passing is needed while Amir and especially Reggie did not play hard on the boards with only a 11 combined rebounds when they have been a lot better in the other games. Finally in the end if the Raptors do not find a way to play defence more often and go to the basket on offense more often there will be big charges in the organization (maybe head coach and/or gm will be gone).
