The Houston Rockets in the middle of the quarter went on a 7-0 on their way to a 5 point advantage but the Raptors ended the quarter on a 7-2 run and lead going into the second quarter 28-27. The Raptors are being lead by Bargnani who has 11 points and 3 boards and Weems has 9 points and Evan has 5 of the 11 boards in the quarter while Jack has 4 of the 8 assists. The Rockets have spread their offense throughout the starters with Kevin Martin (8 points and 3 assists), Shane Battier(6 points and 2 boards), and Luis Scola (5 points and 2 boards), Brad Miller (4 points and 3 boards), and Kyle Lowry (4 assists). Great start to the game for both team but whoever gets more defensive stops and take better offensive shots will win the game.

Second Quarter

The Raptors outscored the Rockets at the beginning of the quarter 19-7 to take a 47-34 but then the Rockets fought back a little by going on a 9-2 run but then the Raptors scored the finally 2 points to lead after 2 51-43. Raptors had a great second quarter especially defensively to build a great lead going into the second half.

Third Quarter

Raptors start the quarter 2 for 10 from the field and the Rockets go on a 17-4 run and what lead as the Rockets lead by 5 60-55 and the Raptors had 8 fouls in the quarter (9 in first half). The Rockets are a well balanced team when going well as Luis Scola and Kevin Martin both had 10 points in the quarter and Shane Battier had 5 points and 2 boards along with 3 assists and Kyle Lowry had 5 assists while Martin also had 3 boards in the quarter. The Raptors were lead by Andrei Bargnani with 7 points and DeMar had 5 points and Evans had 3 boards (all offensive) while Jose Calderon had 4 points and 2 assists. The Raptors faught late to take a 1 point lead into the fourth quarter 75-74 but Sonny Weems had 9 points in the first quarter in 10 minutes but only 9 minutes in the next 2 quarters he may be needed by the end of the game and should be used.

Fourth Quarter

To start the fourt quarter the Raptors started on a 15-6 run to open a 90-80 10 points lead but then the Rockets went on a 7-1 run to get it within 4 points and than the teams went back and forth. Then Sonny Weems came off the bench with 2:24 left in the game and right away he gets a steal and sets up a basket on the other end to give the Raptors a 6 point lead and he was a force the rest of the game to help the Raptors win by 10 104-94. The Raptors were lead by Lenas Kleiza had 7 and DeMar DeRozan who had 6 points and DeMar had 5 boards in the quarter and Amir Johnson had 3 boards playing the whole quarter with Evans not getting on the floor in the quarter. The Rockets were lead by Kevin Martin had 11 of the Rockets 20 points in the quarter and Kyle Lowry had 4 boards of the Rockets 11 boards in the quarter.

Final Thoughts

The Raptors point guards did what they need to do having 15 of the teams 22 assists in the game and only 3 of the teams 14 turnovers in the game and Sonny Weems was very good while he was on the court (5 fouls) as he had 13 points and 3 boards along 2 assists and steals in the game. Bargnani had very good quarters the first (11 points,3 boards) and third (7 points) and had 8 points in the other 2 quarters and had as many boards in the first as the rest of the game. Kleiza thanks to his fourh quarter was 2 on the team with 17 (7 in the fourth) and DeMar had 6 of his 15 was also in the fourth so the raptors had timely scoring and the Rockets had 2 good quarters where everybody chipped in and 2 quarter where there were some passangers on the floor but without Meng the Rockets are not the Rockets.

Raptors (4-9)

Rockets (3-8)
