The Spurs went to sleep before capturing their sweet-sixteen @ home

The Spurs got the first 10 points of the game and then went to sleep for the rest as the Raptors outscored the Spurs 17-7 to tie the game @ 17 and the Raptors shoot 7 for 13 and the Spurs shoot 2 for 13 from the floor while DeMar had 7 points during this run. The Raptors took a 1 point lead into the second quarter as they shoot 39% and the Spurs shoot from the floor while the Spurs 16-13 on the glass so the Raptors played good defense after being down 10-0 and lead 23-22. The Raptors continued a first quarter run of 10-0 to give themselves a 29-22 lead and they ended the half on a 17-10 to take a 53-42 halftime lead as DeMar DeRozan had 11 points in the quarter and 20 points in the half while Bargnani had a very tough 10 points in the first half and Jose Calderon had 4 assists and no turnovers along with 8 points in the half. The Spurs after going 4 for 4 from the floor to start the game and finished the half 11 for 39 from the floor and were lead by Manu Ginobili (13 points and 5 assists) and Dejuan Blair (8 points and 6 boards) along with Tony Parker (8 points and 3 boards). The free throw lines were busy in the first half with the Raptors 11 for 15 and the Spurs 12 for 15 in the half and the Spurs had 13 turnovers and the Raptors got 17 points off these turnovers and had a very good first half.

The rolls were reversed in the second half as the Spurs had 63 % in the third and 57 % in the second half from the floor as they scored 63 points in the half while the Raptors scored 43 points but at the largest Spurs lead of 14 @ 91-77 the Spurs had outscored the Raptors 49-24 and outscored the Raptors 33-16 in the third. The Raptors made a run 14-6 to get it within 6 points @ 97-91 but ended up losing 104-95 and in the second and third quarter the Spurs outrebounded the Raptors 27-14 and outrounded the Raptors 49-38 in the game. Manu Ginobili had 23 points and 7 assists along with 4 boards while he was a perfect 14 for 14 from the line and Dejuan Blair had 22 points and 11 boards and Tony Parker had 17 points and 5 boards/assists even Tim Duncan had all his 10 points in the second half and had 12 boards and 4 assists was what drove the Spurs to the victory. The Raptors were lead by DeMar DeRozan 28 points, 4 steals, and 3 boards along with Bargnani 14 points (6 for 20 from the floor) and 7 boards while Ed Davis lead in boards with 11 and Calderon lead with 8 assists but the Raptors had 15 turnovers especially in the second half and DeMar had 5 of them while Bayless and Calderon both had 3 of them.

In the end the Raptors played a good first half but the Spurs got embressed during the first half and school the Raptors until the game was salted away and showed with they are one of the best teams in the NBA and how much work the Raptors need especially contesting shots on the D.
