preview of Raptors/Rockets

The Raptors will still be without Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon and Ed Davis are questionable and it would be nice to have Calderon back would be great but if Ed Davis is not playing it will be hard to replace his heart and effort on the court and will be more of a negative than if Sonny Weems coming back would be a positive.

The Raptors played one of their beat games in their history on Tuesday night where they brought their hard hats and lunch boxs and truly out worked the Dallas Mavericks and will have to bring the same effort and passion aganist the Houston Rockets tonight. One thing that could change in tonight's game for the better would be if Linas Kleiza keeps his cool and does not get kicked out of the game especially because he is a Raptor that can score. The Raptors are going to play really tough defense and make Kevin Martin (23.6 point per point) earn his points along with Luis Scola (20.3 points per game) who the Raptors need to keep him off the glass because he is the guy getting rebounds for the Rockets (8.4. boards per game) and that is more than 2.5 rebounds than the next highest total Chuck Hayes (5.9 per game). Kyle Lowry is the guy that handle the ball (7.2 assists per game) so the Raptors need to pressure him to throw bad passes and creat turnovers and the Raptors will need to have either Jose Calderon or Jerryd Bayless (both questionable) to play because have Barbosa playing the whole game @ the point as he is not a real point guard. The Raptors will need to have Kleiza (11.8 point per game) and DeRozan (13.0 point per game) putting up points and the team will need to follow the lead of Ed Davis (probably will play) and Joey Dorsey as they are hard working players that work for every inch of the court especially on the offensive and defensive glass.

GO Raptors GO
