Starting Lineup
New York (12 - 9) - Toronto (8 - 12)
Amar'e Stoudemire - Amir Johnson
Raymond Felton - Jose Calderon
Wilson Chandler - Andrea Bargnani
Landry Field - Sonny Weems
Danilo Gallinari - DeMar DeRozan

First Quarter

The Raptors are going to have to fight back from a 18-4 Knicks run to go down 33-18 after the first quarter and a big problem in the quarter was only 3 assists and the Knicks knoucked down 3 of their first 4 3-balls. For the Knicks Wilson Chandler had 12 points while Amar'e Stoudemire had 6 points and 6 boards along with Raymond Felton having 7 points and 4 assists and Landry Fields had 7 points with 2 boards and 2 assists. So that the Knicks were do a very good job sharing the ball and spreading the offense around. Jose Calderon has only 1 assist but has 6 points while Bargnani and Johnson have 4 points and 3 boards each and Ed Davis has 3 boards in 5 minutes and the Raptors need to share the ball and play tough active hands defense and cut down on their 5 turnovers in the quarter.

Second Quarter

The Raptors played good defensive at time but were not able to cut into the lead because they would come down and not make a basket and at the end of the quarter Raptors went on a 7-0 run to cut it to 9 but are still down 60-50 at half. The Knicks were lead by Raymond Felton with 6 points and an assist and a board while Amar'e Stoudemire had 6 points and 4 boards (12 pts and 10 reb) and they turned the ball over 7 times in the second. The Raptors had 7 assists lead by Jerryd Bayless with 2 along with 11 points with 2 boards and Amir Johnson had 4 points and 5 rebounds and Ed Davis and Andrei Bargnani has 2 boards each. The Raptors need to have great defense and finish when they have the ball and they can still win the game.

Third Quarter

The Raptors outscored the Knicks 11-2 in 3:30 to get the lead down to 7 82-75 after 3 and Amir Johnson had 10 points and 8 boards in the quarter. Jerryd Bayless 5 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists and Jose Calderon had 2 assists and 4 points and Ed Davis has 2 boards as well. The Knicks are lead by Wilson Chandler with 7 points and Landry Fields has 7 boards and the Knick are not sharing the ball having 8 assists in the last 2 quarters and the Raptors need to take advantage in the fourth.

Fourth Quarter

It was the Amar'e Stoudemire show in the fourth quarter with 15 of 31 points in the game coming in the fourth quarter along with 3 boards and all 7 of his free throw attepts which he made all of them and helped Knicks win the game 116-99. Shawns Williams 14 points (4 for 4 with 3-balls) and 3 rebounds in the quarter would be a monster quarter but nothing compared to Stoudemire's quarter and they combined for 29 of the Knicks's 34 fourth quarter points and Raymond Felton had 2 assist along with Danillo Gallinari. Bargnani had have his points in the quarter with 8 and Jerryd Bayless had 7 points and 3 boards and Amir had 6 points and Ed Davis had a board to give him 8 in the game along with Calderon have half his assists in the quarter with 3.

Final Thought

The Knicks had 7 more points from the free throw line (18-11) and the Raptors had one more attept in the game (22-21) and the Raptors took too many jumpers that were not falling early that put them down big and they could not come back from as they got as close as 5 points in the third quarter but now being 6-2 in their last 8 games and 5-2 in their last 7 home games is good but they need to continue the good play starting again tommorrow aganist the Pacers in Indiana. The Fourth quarter Amer'e was nothing short than just cluch play and the 12 3's were a big 36 points as well and finally Bayless with 23 points and 7 boards and tied for the team lead with 6 assists along with Amir have 22 points and 16 boards was amazing but the off games by Bargnani 16 points (8 in the fourth) and Calderon with 6 assists can not happen. The Raptors are on the road for 2 games now aganist the Pacers (5-4 at home) and a return engagment with Knicks (3-5 at home).
